ISO 27001:2013<\/strong>\u00a0is an international standard for information security published on 25 September 2013.<\/p>\n

It replaced ISO\/IEC 27001:2005, and was published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), under the ISO\/IEC joint subcommittee, ISO\/IEC JTC 1\/SC 27. It forms the specification framework for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). Organizations that meet the requirements of the standard by submitting an application for certification have the opportunity, upon successful completion of a detailed audit process, to receive a formal Certificate of Compliance Assurance from our Accredited Body for this standard.<\/p>\n

The official title of the standard is \u201cInformation Technology \u2013 Security Techniques \u2013 Requirements of Information Security Management Systems\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a027001:2013<\/strong>\u00a0standard includes 10 concise sections, as well as a highly detailed annex:<\/p>\n

  7. Establishing a functional operational information security management system<\/li>\n
  8. Reviewing the performance of the system<\/li>\n
  9. Corrective actions<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
